This is a KEY ROLE in our day to day activities under our design and build projects and includes tender, pre contract through to post contract design duties. You will work as part of a close team of commercial and delivery members and report directly to the Operations and Commercial Director.

Outline Role & Responsibilities

  • To liaise with external Architects, SE's & Specialist consultants.
  • To coordinate ALL design and ensure compliance with ER's
  • To ensure the flow of construction information in a timely manner to enable subcontract and materials procurement in betterment of the construction programme requirements.
  • To coordinate and manage subcontractor/supplier design elements.
  • To lead, coordinate and manage all incoming services.
  • Be capable of overseeing a number or projects at any one time.

Requirements:

  • A minimum 5 years experience
  • A minimum HNC Qualification
  • Regional & Traditional Contractor Background preferred but not essential.

Site Manager

  • Job Title: Site Manager

To achieve optimum on-site performance by the efficient and effective management of all resources, ensuring completion of projects on time, within budget and to specification. You will work with a close team of commercial and delivery members and report directly to the Construction Manager & Operations and Commercial Director.

Outline Role & Responsibilities

  • All aspects of the administration, adherence and monitoring of the companies health & safety and policies applicable on their designated site.
  • Commitment to contract program i.e. ensuring all deadlines, milestones completion dates are met.
  • Liaising with Project Surveyor / QS in the procurement of sub-contract packages and materials through pre-order contract meeting.
  • Forward planning documentation using monthly information required document to include all resources required for the task i.e. materials, labour, plant and any special working methods required.
  • To ensure correct standards and specifications are met at all times by identifying that all information is available prior to commencement of works.
  • Liaise with design team to ensure all drawings are correct and sufficient to commence works.
  • Ensure that site is secure and regularly check its integrity.
  • Collating, input and presenting the onsite element of the contractors report.
  • Quality-ensuring all works are carried out to an acceptable standard.
  • Completion of site paperwork in a timely manner to comply with the company’s quality management system.
  • Communication (by email) with the Construction Manager & P&W Project Surveyor / QS on all relevant issues that are of a contractual and financial nature.

Requirements:

  • Regional & Traditional Contractor Background preferred but not essential.
  • SMSTS current and up to date
  • 3 day 1st aid qualification current and up to date
  • CSCS managers card
  • Management level NVQ preferable but not essential

Construction Team Leader/Supervisor

Pacy & Wheatley, a Doncaster based construction company, require a 'hands on' Team Leader for fast track regional roll-out refurbishment program for a leading health care provider.

The successful applicant will be hands on and familiar with working in a live care environment. The suitable candidate will also be responsible for the planning and execution of day to day works including; managing a team of specialist subcontractors & meeting the master program, managing health & safety issues at site level and liaison with individual home managers.

Works are generally across the regions of Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Humberside.

Applicants must have previous experience of roll-out works of this nature and be able to demonstrate the suitable competences required. This includes competent IT skills, together with suitable references. Those with a flexible customer focused approach and a ‘multi skilled’ hands on and finishing background, preferably joinery, would be preferred but not essential.
