Requirements:

  • Years of relevant experience – 5+ years
  • CSCS card
  • Joinery background and qualifications preferred
  • Multi skilled works experience and a keen eye for quality essential
  • You will be part of a growing team, working with our construction department to ensure that any defects within the projects warranty period and end of project defect lists are successfully dealt with and managed through to completion
  • Supervisory experience essential, as the successful candidate will be managing sub-contractors as well as carrying out some of the works
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude is essential
  • The role will be client facing, so good communication skills are required
  • As & when required, the successful candidate will be expected to assist the construction department as a site joiner. Currently working across a number of live care homes as part of our refurbishment frameworks
  • You must be able and available to work away from home if required for short periods
  • An enhanced DBS will be required
  • The successful candidate will have a proven track record and be able to provide sound references and a clear CV detailing capabilities

Firstly to learn the systems we install by hands on installation, applicant shall need to be a fully qualified fixer dealing with grid ceiling grid systems and can work to accurately and quality. Must have a keen eye for finishes and quality dedication and willing to travel. Willing to learn and carry out the installations and spraying of the systems.

To help grow this specialist department on P&W group

The above will lead to running sites and projects on the specialist installation sites with for the right person to be involved in the management and running of the division. To achieve optimum on-site performance by the efficient and effective management of all resources, ensuring completion of projects on time, within budget and to specification. You will work with a close team of commercial and delivery members and report directly to the Operations and Commercial Director.

Outline Role & Responsibilities

  • All aspects of the administration, adherence and monitoring of the companies health & safety and policies applicable on their designated site.
  • Commitment to contract program i.e. ensuring all deadlines, milestones completion dates are met.
  • Liaising with Project Surveyor / QS in the procurement of sub-contract packages and materials through pre-order contract meeting.
  • Forward planning documentation using monthly information required document to include all resources required for the task i.e. materials, labour, plant and any special working methods required.
  • To ensure correct standards and specifications are met at all times by identifying that all information is available prior to commencement of works.
  • Liaise with design team to ensure all drawings are correct and sufficient to commence works.
  • Quality-ensuring all works are carried out to an acceptable standard.
  • Completion of site paperwork in a timely manner to comply with the company’s quality management system.
  • Communication (by email) with the Construction Manager & P&W Project Surveyor / QS on all relevant issues that are of a contractual and financial nature.

Pacy & Wheatley, a Doncaster based construction company, require a 'hands on' Team Leader for fast track regional roll-out refurbishment program for a leading health care provider.

The successful applicant will be hands on and familiar with working in a live care environment. The suitable candidate will also be responsible for the planning and execution of day to day works including; managing a team of specialist subcontractors & meeting the master program, managing health & safety issues at site level and liaison with individual home managers.

Works are generally across the regions of Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Humberside.

Applicants must have previous experience of roll-out works of this nature and be able to demonstrate the suitable competences required. This includes competent IT skills, together with suitable references. Those with a flexible customer focused approach and a ‘multi skilled’ hands on and finishing background, preferably joinery, would be preferred but not essential.
