Project Description

Pacy and Wheatley, who are specialist commercial construction contractors, are delighted to announce the completion of an interior refurbishment project for Synectics in Scunthorpe.

This disused warehouse unit has been empty for some years and suffered from vandalism and neglect. Synectics vision is to create a new manufacturing facility creating jobs and bring new life back into the site. Design completion and obtaining Building control sign is our first remit, concurrent with refurbishment activities, demolition and site clearance. Following on a phased completion of office refurbishment and the creation and fitting out of manufacturing and testing specific areas. Complex security and access control equipment. Once complete the facility will enhance the client to further delivery security solutions to the global market.

The Solution

In order to ensure the design was progressed timely, design coordination with the Architect and Client was prioritised by Senior Staff, leaving project staff to focus on a quick and productive commencement on site.

Specialist trade design coordination undertaken.

Regular Project meetings with all stake holders and specialist trades to ensure program critical elements completed on time.

Dedicated and focused Project and Site Management from start to finish.

Completed on time with the client achieving relocating manufacturing capacity as planned, minimising production downturn.

Management of significant client variations and design changes though out the very tight construction program.
