Project Description

Pacy & Wheatley Construction have completed an internal healthcare refurbishment for our repeat client Barchester in Hull, to upgrade and refresh communal, dining and admin areas in this specialist care private hospital. The project involved an extensive refurbishment and varying alterations; including new plumbing and electrical works and high-quality internal finishes. The end product is a fully refurbished entrance, dining facilities, Lounge and staff areas. The works were part of our client's wider refurbishment programme, to enhance the appearance of a large number of homes & hospitals throughout the company.

The Challenge

The hospital remained live throughout the works, so consideration was given to ensure residents, staff & visitors are considered with the crucial aim of zero disruption to the Care Home's work. As the project was located in a built-up residential area, consideration is to be given throughout the works with staggered deliveries.

The Solution

The construction team guaranteed regular meetings were held with the Hospital Manager to ensure that the resident's safety was upheld. The project was completed on time, in accordance with the detailed programme, to the Client's satisfaction which has led to repeat business from Barchester healthcare.
