Pacy and Wheatley Construction completed an Interior Refurbishment project in Telford; works consisted of external render & timber cladding repairs, management of the new window installation, full external re-decorations, rainwater goods replacement & full refurbishment of the entrance lobby and bathroom refurbishments.
The external works were undertaken immediately after the new year meaning the weather was due to be cold, unpredictable and far from ideal to carry out external rendering and decoration works.
Key was to ensure the window installation progressed smoothly and without delay to allow the sequential repair and redecoration works externally to progress as weather conditions permitted.
A close relationship was formed with the home and the window installations contractor with a list of rooms and sequence of works agreed.
This allowed the home to plan ahead and ensure rooms were unoccupied on the necessary days of works.
This made the process progress towards the contractors planned programme and allowed unhindered access to P&W to progress all the external repairs and decorative works.
A significant improvement to the appearance of the building from the decorations and new installations undertaken resulting in a much more aesthetically pleasing and fresher building for the end users and staff.
A much ‘greener’ building benefiting from new uPVC windows to replace the rotten and non-energy efficient timber windows from the original building.
