Project Description
The project consisted of a large care home refurbishment to a Barchester facility in Edinburgh. This included a renovation of high-quality finishes, decorating, flooring, ceramic tiling and new electrical and mechanical fixtures and fittings, to a variety of areas; 4 bedrooms, 2 assisted bath/shower rooms, the dining room and lounge, hair and all ground floor corridors, reception and communal areas. All to provide the WOW factor for the healthcare facility!
The Challenge
The care facility remained open during the project works with our Site Team providing consistent collaboration, on a daily basis, to ensure the Home are kept up to date with our works, throughout the 12-week programme and the ongoing care services remain unaffected.
The Solution & Key Achievements
The project raised certain implications regarding the current conditions and installations within the existing Care Home, however, through the efficient communication between our Site Manager, Contractors and the Home’s staff, a smooth transition throughout the refurbishment was maintained and their operations remained unaffected.
