Project Description

Pacy & Wheatley have been appointed by Minsthorpe Academy Trust to complete a College Refurbishment in West Yorkshire. The project involves structural changes, the removal of asbestos, the renewal of all façade and elevational treatments (wall cladding, windows, conversion from flat to pitched cladded roofs), and internal alterations and refurbishment. All work is to be carried out in a tight timescale and strict ‘live’ working environment.

Upon completion, the college will have a renewed cladded façade and a range of internal refurbishments. There will be updates to the exterior and spatial educational rooms internally, with a modern and aesthetically pleasing environment to reflect the college’s ambitions and continued improvement.

The Challenge

The college will remain open throughout the project. Therefore, consideration and safety will be ensured to all Pupils, Staff and Visitors - with the objective of zero disruption to the education service being provided.

The college is located in a built-up residential area. Therefore, deliveries will be organised for specific periods and times of the day, to allocated areas on the site, to avoid congestion and minimise the effect to the local communities.
