As part of our 50th anniversary celebrations, Pacy & Wheatley are delighted to be attending Lendy Cowes Week! Lendy Cowes Week is one of the longest running sporting events in the world, dating back all the way to 1826. Each year, the event sees over 8,000 competitors in over 1,000 boats taking part, with over 100,000 spectators each year. We're proud to be taking some of our valued clients to take part in the celebrations.
It's no secret that the Wheatley family loves sailing. Chairman of Pacy & Wheatley, David Wheatley, has always had a passion for sailing. He's passed down this passion to sons Anthony and Craig Wheatley, who are both keen sailors. The event is a fitting addition to our 50th year celebrations!
We've taken some valued clients and friends of ours to celebrate with us, and take part in the race. Lee Cantrill from Pulse and Gary Humphreys from the Harris Partnership have joined us, as well as James Vaux Anderson from Bowmer and Kirkland, who our Interiors division have completed work for.
Jon Armstrong from Atlas Hotels has also joined us. Our Interiors division have completed some fantastic interior refurbishments for Atlas Hotels in several Holiday Inn Express locations. Jamie Croucher from Edmond Shipway has also joined us, who also works with Atlas Hotels.
Last, but certainly not least, we had Jeremy Robinson from McLeod and Aitkin – project managers and quantity surveyors on our projects for Barchester Healthcare.
On race days 3 and 4, we were cruising around the Solent in the beautiful weather. We spent some time awaiting the sea breeze, before the wind eventually picked up! Day 5 was a lot windier, and we ended up finishing 12th – a fantastic result from the Pacy & Wheatley team!
It's fantastic to be celebrating the 50th anniversary of Pacy & Wheatley at Lendy Cowes Week 2018, and we're delighted to be able to take some of our valued clients and friends to join in with the celebrations.
