Pacy & Wheatley complete £2.2m project in Chesterfield
Posted on 30 November 2020
We're delighted to announce the completion of a £2.2m project in Chesterfield for Precision Products. What the project entailed
The industrial construction project primarily consisted of adding a 12,000 square-foot extension to their existing manufacturing property, as well as the following:
- External landscaping
- Car park remodel work
- Full re-roof and associated drainage
- Renewing the factory's façades
- Facility upgrades
- Internal alterations
This project presented a number of challenges. We needed to ensure that factory workers could continue to go about their daily jobs without our work impacting the day-to-day operations of the business.
Removal of an existing wall and replacement of the steel cladding was required, whilst we also worked within a live manufacturing unit while conducting the upgrades to the Electrical and Mechanical infrastructure.
Provisions were made to protect the surrounding environment, as the site is part of an ancient woodland, which was monitored closely throughout the project.
To ensure that we were able to deliver the brief, we placed a significant amount of focus at the site planning stage, and it paid off. We worked closely with Precision Products Ltd to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Site noise was kept to a minimum and we put together a full-site traffic plan.
We were able to complete the project within the agreed budget and timeframe, and the client was delighted with the result.
