Pacy & Wheatley are delighted to have been appointed Principal Contractor by Avery Health Care to deliver the new 70 bed care home, as part of a healthcare construction project in Burley In Wharfdale near Leeds, following a Stage 1 competitive tender process. This project comprises the design and build of a new three storey 70 bed care home to meet all current regulations and demands of a fast moving care environment and is a shared site with another developer.

The scheme will be providing nursing care for elderly, frail and memory care residents and include day lounges, dining facilities, café, library, cinema room, activities and life skills rooms. hair salon, clinic and therapy rooms as well as general communal spaces and other functional accommodation. All bedrooms have their own en suite accommodation.

The building has been designed to reflect the current character of the local village and is of a ‘grand’ and luxury nature, featuring reconstituted stone to the main elevations with the use of render feature panels to provide a quality finish to compliment the building area and help break up the building format aesthetically. Internal finishes will be of the highest standard as expected of an Avery Care Home.

The works also involve external works, including main site entrance and car park areas. Hard and soft Landscaping for residents to enjoy including and not limited to an array of external space incorporating an ‘al fresco’ external balcony area.
